CHICAGO, IL – The National Restaurant Association (NRA) is accepting applications for the 2018 FABI Awards, its annual celebration of the year’s most inventive and impactful food and beverage products. Award recipients will be recognized at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show® 2018, which runs May 19-22, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
NRA Show® exhibitors value the industry validation and excitement generated by the FABI Award program. “Receiving a FABI recognition is truly an honor and gives us pride in knowing we are helping our customers drive what is next with consumer food and beverage experiences,” says Sumi DeBenedittis, Director, Foodservice Development at PepsiCo Foodservice. “NRA Show FABI Awards is one of the only awards where operators validate new products and innovation for the foodservice industry.”
An independent panel of industry operators and experts judge FABI Award submissions for their exciting new tastes, uniqueness in the market, appeal to the operator community, creative approach to operator challenges or introduction of new opportunities and profit potential.
FABI Award recipient benefits include: prominent placement in pre-Show promotional efforts; company logo and product information on NRA Show website; inclusion in an official press release announcing FABI Award recipients; priority placement in on-site opportunities with broadcast media; participation in sampling events; FABI recipient booth signage; and extensive coverage via NRA Show media relations. Last year’s recipients enjoyed more than 7.5 million media impressions. This year, to generate extra buzz for FABI-awarded products, NRA Show will be hosting sampling events in the Foodamental Studio, an on-floor event area.

Manufacturers may enter any food or beverage product introduced to the U.S. foodservice market between May 1, 2016 and May 19, 2018. The product will be evaluated by the FABI Award’s independent panel of experts, including:
